POLAR SCRIMS

Set scrims and divisions

How set scrims work at Polar Scrims: scheduled sessions of three games run as Yunite tournaments per division, with registration and reserved dropspots.

Set scrims are scheduled sessions, not a lobby that is always open. Each session is three games, run as a Yunite tournament for one division. Teams register in advance and every team leader claims a dropspot before the start, so nobody lands on top of each other.

Divisions

Set scrims are split by level. There are sessions for Set Scrims (every verified player) and for Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. Each division has its own drop channel and its own sessions on the dropmap, and you only see the sessions your roles give you access to.

From announcement to the last game

  1. Announcement. New sessions are posted in #set-info with the start time, the division and a link to register. The division is pinged.
  2. Registration. Register your team for the Yunite tournament. Details are in #set-signup.
  3. Dropspot. The team leader logs in on the dropmap with Discord and claims a dropspot. At most two teams per spot. How claims work.
  4. Reminder. 30 minutes before the start, the division is pinged in its drop channel so no team forgets its spot.
  5. Start. Claims close when the session starts. Keys are posted in #set-keys.
  6. Three games. Play all three. Leaving a set scrim before all games is a 7-day scrim ban the first time.

Results

Results are posted in #set-leaderboard. The best players of the week get the Weekly Top 25 role.
