Frequently asked questions

What is Polar Scrims?

Polar Scrims is an EU Fortnite scrim community on Discord. It runs open scrims throughout the day and scheduled set scrims with divisions and reserved dropspots.

Which region are the scrims in?

EU.

How do I join open scrims?

Join the Polar Scrims Discord, verify your Epic account with Yunite in #verify and pick Solo, Duo or Trio pings. Games are posted in the Open Scrims channels; grab the key and queue up.

Do I need to sign up for open scrims?

No. Open scrims are drop-in. Set scrims need registration in advance.

What is the difference between open scrims and set scrims?

Open scrims are drop-in lobbies throughout the day. Set scrims are scheduled sessions of three games, run as a Yunite tournament per division, where every team claims a dropspot before the start.

How do I claim a dropspot?

The team leader logs in on polarscrims.com/dropmap with Discord, opens the session, clicks a dropspot, enters the team name and claims it. Claims close when the session starts.

How many teams can land on the same dropspot?

At most two teams per dropspot in set scrims.

Why can't I see a set scrim on the dropmap?

You only see sessions your roles give access to: Set Scrims needs the Verified role, division sessions need that division's role. Players with an active scrim ban can't use the dropmap.

My Discord account is new. Can I join?

Your Discord account must be at least 30 days old to join the server.

I got a scrim ban. Can I appeal?

Yes. Appeal in #appeal within 14 days of the ban. One appeal per ban, and the moderator who banned you can't review it.

How long does a strike last?

A strike counts for 60 days.
