How dropspot claims work
Reserved dropspots for Polar Scrims set scrims: how team leaders claim a spot on the dropmap, the two-teams-per-spot limit and when claims close.
In set scrims every team lands on a dropspot it has claimed in advance. That keeps early fights fair and lets you practise the same landing spot and route every game. Claims are made on polarscrims.com/dropmap.
The rules
- The team leader claims. One claim per team leader per session.
- One spot per team. A team name can only hold one spot, so two teammates can't claim two spots.
- At most two teams per spot. A spot shows as free, partly taken or full on the map.
- Change your mind until the start. You can move to another spot or release yours until claims close.
- Claims close when the session starts, or earlier if staff lock them.
How to claim a spot
- Open the dropmap and log in with Discord.
- Pick the session for your division.
- Click a dropspot on the map, enter your team name and claim it.
The board in your division's drop channel in Discord updates within a few seconds.
Landing on someone else's spot
Landing on a spot you did not claim counts as griefing. Teaming and griefing is a 7-day scrim ban the first time, 30 days the second and permanent the third. See Rules, strikes and appeals.
