What Polar Scrims stores about you, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated 2026-10-28.
Who we are
Polar Scrims runs an EU Fortnite scrim community on Discord, the website polarscrims.com and the Discord bot Polar Bot. Questions about your data: open a ticket in #create-ticket in our Discord server.
What we store
- Your Discord account: your Discord ID, name and avatar when you log in on the website or use the server. We never get your Discord password or email address.
- Your roles in our server: read from Discord to decide what you can see, for example your division or a scrim ban.
- Scrims: the dropspots and team names you claim for set scrims, how many open scrims you have played, and results shown on the leaderboard.
- Moderation: strikes, scrim bans, appeals and the reasons for them, and a log of every staff action. Ticket conversations are saved as a transcript when a ticket is closed.
- Invites: who invited you to the server, to give invite rewards.
- Polar Credits: your balance and every change to it. When you withdraw, the PayPal email or IBAN and name you enter, until the payout is handled. Then they are deleted.
- Subscriptions: if you buy Polar or Polar+, which plan you have and its status. Payments are handled by Stripe; your card details never reach us.
- Login cookie: one cookie (polar.sid) that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Visitor statistics: anonymous page view counts from Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies.
Why
To run scrims and the website: log you in, show the right sessions and dropmap, keep lobbies fair with the strike system, pay out credits and give subscription and invite rewards. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Discord (login and the server itself)
- Yunite (Epic account linking, custom games and tournaments)
- Vercel (website hosting and statistics) and Supabase (database)
- Stripe (subscription payments) and PayPal or your bank (payouts)
How long we keep it
- Strikes count for 60 days, but the moderation history is kept so repeated rule breaks and ban appeals can be checked.
- Payout details are deleted as soon as a withdrawal is handled. The credit history is kept for bookkeeping.
- Login sessions end after 30 days or when you log out.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we have about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Open a ticket in #create-ticket. Some data, such as payments and an active ban, may have to be kept for bookkeeping or to keep the server fair. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Sweden: IMY).
